Applications are open for the McDonnell International Scholars Academy Fellowship Program 2024- 2025. The McDonnell International Scholars Academy fellowship program cultivates a community of culturally and academically diverse leaders who will address the world’s most complex challenges by driving positive and lasting change.
The program fosters innovative ideas that improve collaborative multidisciplinary research through its established international collaborations. The Academy is a life-changing opportunity that develops leadership potential via professional growth, participation opportunities, and mentoring. This basis fortifies the conviction and character needed to lead with a global perspective and social responsibility. The selection of McDonnell Scholars is based on their capacity to develop into leaders who are authorities in their domains and whose viewpoints demonstrate cultural competency.
At Washington University in St. Louis, scholars get a substantial financial aid package to fund their graduate and professional degree programs.
Advantages McDonnell Both programmatic and financial support are provided to scholars, and these include:
full tuition and living stipend each month; travel and relocation expenses reimbursed; chance to live in contemporary, private cohort housing close to campus by foot; and access to a wide range of resources, including specialized education, cultural experiences, committed mentorship, and a global network of students and alumni.
Qualifications
Open to prospective graduate and professional students intending to enroll in one of a limited number of full-time master’s or doctorate degree programs at Washington University in St. Louis.
Candidates must be in possession of a bachelor’s degree or above, or intend to obtain one by the conclusion of the 2023–2024 academic year in July 2024.
Undergraduate study is not eligible for this grant.
All nationalities are allowed to apply. International graduate candidates, however, who have graduated from one of the partner universities of the Academy, are given preference.
Application
Candidates must submit an application to a master’s or doctorate program at WashU that is approved. Applying to the McDonnell Academy is a different process from applying to a graduate school at Washington University in St. Louis. Prospective students must apply to the McDonnell Academy and the WashU master’s or doctorate program separately.
