Open to social science-based journalism contestants [Worldwide]
Journalists utilizing social research methods in their reporting are asked to apply for an award. The Philip Meyer Journalism Award honors stories that incorporate a wide variety of research methodologies, from probabilities to survey research. The National Institute for Computer-Assisted Reporting, the Knight Chair at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, and Investigative Reporters and Editors are sponsoring the competition.
The published or aired works must have taken place between October 1, 2022, and September 30, 2023.Translations into English must be included with entries that are submitted in other languages.The story’s crew must include at least one active IRE member.The cost of each entry for professional members is US$75.
There will be prizes for the top three finishers.
