A Social Affairs Officer, P4 is needed at the Addis Abeba headquarters of the UN’s Economic Commission for Africa.
Urban planning, economics, sociology, or another social science advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) is necessary. It is possible to substitute a first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in the required subjects of study for the advanced university degree if the applicant has two more years of relevant work experience.
It takes at least seven years of steadily increasing responsibility in socioeconomic development, policy analysis, sociological research, or a closely related field.
Experience in technical assistance projects, policy analysis and research, and urban development is necessary.
