A Scholarship for International Education
Students that actively participate in and contribute to the internationalization of the UNT campus are given the International Education Scholarship.
Campus internationalization is described as the “deliberate endeavor to integrate and infuse international, intercultural, and global dimensions into the ethos and outcomes of postsecondary education” by NAFSA, the Association of International Educators.
Participants in study abroad programs or foreign peer mentors are eligible for the International Education Scholarship. The recipients of the international education grant are enthusiastic about learning about other cultures and educating the college community about their own. The recipients of this grant have demonstrated a strong commitment to raising the level of internationalization on campus at UNT through their participation in programs, academic plans, and involvement in campus organizations.
